SPEEDY INSTRUCTIONS

To create a new page for an unlisted brand, please follow the following instructions:

Note: These instructions look harder than they are. Just follow the steps of: Add your brand, save, create a page with brand name, create page with template, save, attach, then done!

  1. Acquire a new brand that is not on the following page (or one that currently has no available page)
  2. Open the front page of JeanPocketProject
  3. Add your brand in the "EDIT" mode to the list of brands in the same font and format. Include any nicknames if there are any. (e.g. Armani Exchange - A|X)
Do not worry about linking your brand to a page yet, you will be able to do that in a further step.
Don't forget to place your brand in the correct alphabetical order :)
  4. Save your changes by pressing the "Save" button at the bottom of the page next to the "Save and Continue" button and the "Cancel" button.
  5. Now create your corresponding page by clicking "Create a page". Name the page the brand you're creating for. Don't change any of the other settings on the page, just continue by pressing "Create page".
  6. Using the included template from the front page, copy and paste the template onto your blank page.
  7. Fill out the template for your brand, inserting the brand name, linking the official website to the words "Official Web Site" using the "Add Link" button in the toolbar, then inserting photos in replace of the "Insert photos of the back pocket here"
  8. Here is what a completed page should look like.
  9. "Save" the page and return to the JPP front page.
  10. Edit the front page again, just like you did in step 3. Add the new page you just created to your brand by using the "Add Link" button from the toolbar or the "Insert links"on the right sidebar, hyper link your brand with its new created page either by copying the html or finding your new page on the side bar.
  11. "Save" your page once again using the directions in step 5.
  12. Check to see the link works in "VIEW" mode. Fix accordingly if the link is broken or unsuccessful.

Now you have just completed your page contribution to the JeanPocketProject.

Thank you for your contributions towards the JeanPocketProject. Your new page and handwork is greatly appreciated.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS

To create a new page for an unlisted brand, please follow the following instructions:

Note: These instructions look harder than they are. Just follow the steps of: Add your brand, save, create a page with brand name, create page with template, save, attach, then done!

  1. Acquire a new brand that is not on the following page (or one that currently has no available page)
  2. Open the front page of JeanPocketProject
  3. On the top of the JPP page, you should see a "VIEW" and "EDIT" tab. You currently are in the "VIEW" tab. Switch over to the "EDIT" tab so you can add your brand.
  4. Add your new brand with the same font and format as the others. Include any nicknames if there are any. (e.g. Armani Exchange - A|X)
Do not worry about linking your brand to a page yet, you will be able to do that in a further step.
Don't forget to place your brand in the correct alphabetical order :)
  5. Save your changes by pressing the "Save" button at the bottom of the page next to the "Save and Continue" button and the "Cancel" button.
  6. Once added, switch out of the "EDIT" tab to the "VIEW" tab.
  7. You should be on the JPP front page again.
Look at the upper right corner of the page, you should see under the "Search this workspace" search box, a "Create a page" link and an "Upload files" link. Click on the "Create a page". You will then be directed to a new page, asking you to Name your page.
  8. Write the brand name the page is for, then choose "Blank page" under "Page content". Do not choose a folder under "Put this page in a folder". Now click "Create page".
  9. You should now have a blank page in "EDIT" mode.
  10. Using the included template from the front page, copy and paste the template onto your blank page.
  11. Fill out the template for your brand, inserting the brand name, linking the official website to the words "Official Web Site" using the "Add Link" button in the toolbar, then inserting photos in replace of the "Insert photos of the back pocket here".
Remember to erase all "Insert photos of the back pocket here" that you are not using.
  12. Here is what a completed page should look like.
  13. Once you've finished, "Save" the page using the directions from step 5, and return to the JPP front page.
  14. Edit the front page again, just like you did in step 3. Highlight your brand name that you created in step 4, and either using the "Add Link" button from the toolbar or the "Insert links" on the right sidebar.
Using the "Add Link" button, click on the option then copy and paste the URL of your new page. Press ENTER.
Using the side bar of "Insert links", first highlight your brand on the front page, then find your new page by name using the right side bar of "Insert links". You may need to show all the pages before you find your own. Click on your page, making the highlighted brand linked to the page.
  15. "Save" your page once again using the directions from step 5.
  16. Check to see the link works in "VIEW" mode. Fix accordingly if the link is broken or unsuccessful.
